Lixing delivered presentations and demonstrations to middle/high school students on energy related topics. 2) Science activity volunteer at the Science Rendezvous. Lixing led the young kids for fun science activity to understand the science behind the energy sector. 3) Judge for the Festival of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities. As a judge for the 2023 Festival of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities at the University of Alberta, Lixing provided constructive feedback to undergraduate participants and shared my valuable research experience. 4) Science volunteer at APEGA Science Nights. During APEGA Science Nights, Lixing led engaging workshops to elementary students with hands-on projects. 5) Chinese Language Teacher, Ellerslie Road Baptist Church. Volunteering as a Chinese language teacher at Ellerslie Road Baptist Church, Lixing not only teach the language but also instill moral values, emphasizing principles such as love and mutual respect.

Volunteering as a trained Energy4me Ambassador for SPE, Lixing actively engage with and educate young minds about the science and technology behind the energy industry through hands-on activities. 3) SPE Canadian Energy Technology Conference and Exhibition (CET). Lixing volunteered in the speaker check-in room, distributed important notices to session chairs in different technical sessions. 4) SPE translation project. Lixing translated articles and terms between English and Chinese.

Description: 1) Fundraiser for Adeara Recovery Centre during the Coldest Night of The Year (CNOY). With the generosity of donors, we helped Team Ellerslie from Ellerslie Road Baptist Church (ERBC) raised over $10,000 for Adeara Recovery Centre, surpassing the fundraising goal of $6000. This fund is poised to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those grappling with hurt, hunger, and homelessness within the community. 2) Fundraiser for 2016 Edmonton Emergency Relief Services. Lixing volunteered for fundraising efforts in support of the 2016 Edmonton Emergency Relief Services for the Fort McMurray wildfire. 3) Volunteer for 2015 Heritage Festival Contributing as a volunteer for the 2015 Heritage Festival in Edmonton, Alberta. to promote the cultural diversity. 4) Volunteer for 2014 New Students Welcome at Regina International Airport. Actively participating as a volunteer for the 2014 New Students Welcome at Regina International Airport to give new students orintations. 5) Volunteer for 2012 Global Showcase at the University of Regina. Engaging as a volunteer for the 2012 Global Showcase at the University of Regina to showcase the cultures of different countries.
